a very important post on copyright

so my husband wanted me to check into copyrighting before plastering my photos all over blogger. i am pleased to find that they in no way own my content because i publish it on their site (you may be surprised to know that some other rather popular sites have fine print allowing them access to your pictures and information).

i decided that for a photography blog this IS important enough i wanted to post to make sure anyone reading and participating in my blog is well aware of copyright laws and infringement. i looked into bloggers policies and decided to re-post this important piece of information.

Whats Coming Up

so i have done two weddings. one was family and the other i was working with a pro as an assistant. i learned a lot from the second wedding, but one thing did not change for me. i still have no desire to become a wedding photographer. i have turned down around four or five weddings thus far....but here's the kicker. i have two coming up. one in april and one in july. the one in april is for family again. it hardly will be your traditional wedding. my aunt is getting remarried at the finish line of the marathon. i already have some ideas for pictures. send in any suggestions of your own. i'll be sure to post some of my favs. the second wedding in july is for friends. i did their engagement pics (two of which i have added to the blog) and designed their save the date postcards. their wedding is the day after my own anniversary, the wedding is july 3rd. i'm actually more excited than i thought i'd be. they are laid back and after telling them no several times i couldn't say no again. i really like working with them, and they like my stuff, so i suppose it's just meant to be.

feel free to post any wedding pics you like, whether they be from your own wedding, something you found online (please be weary of copyright laws before reposting them here) or something you've taken! make sure credit is given to whomever deserves it!

okay. a few things i need to touch on first. first off, i don't use capitalization. i am sorry if you are a grammer buff. my blog may not be to your liking. i type like i think so that pesky shift key often gets ignored. second off, i am very excited to be starting this and if you have questions, ideas, or suggestions i'm all about them. i am by no means an expert, but if you pose a question or challenge i am willing and able to give it all i've got.

so for my first blog i have decided to go all out. i have no followers and besides my husband no one even knows about the existance of it...yet. but here goes.

let me see YOUR work. post your best shot. i know its hard to pick just one but i promise there will be lost of opportunities to post more of YOUR stuff. okay. i guess i do capitolize some things. when i MEAN them.
